What are the dimensions of the display i have one getting delivered friday and need to build my scape
It’s narrower than you think try to shot for about 12” wide or 15” if you are going to be pushing rocks against the back wall.

Any tank update?
Bean dealing with different algae and dino for the past couple of months. Just got done with a three day lights out, multiple running's of the Magnum filter and filtering of the sand bed into a filter sock. Here's a tank shot, only running the XHOs so its blue. A couple of the coral are not too happy, the Ricordea have been shrinking for some time. The GSP took the biggest hit from the recent algae/dino. Think I'm going to just run the XHOs until I can get nutrients up and stable. Switching from Neophos to Tropic Marin Plus-NP. Will see how it goes.

Here's a tank shot from March for comparison, so the corals are growing (except the Ricordea, which are shrining). I have since added two more Cyphastrea and another Galaxia. I also still have the same four fish for the past year and a half.

Is the bottom right corner the ORA red goniopora? I'm thinking about getting one but had bad luck with gonis previously. I did hear that the ORA red goni is hardy and the easist goni to deal with.

Don't know if it's ORA or not, but I've had no problems keeping it. It's been growing and I am not doing anything extra for it. I maintain parameters and broadcast feed the tank.

Any updates on this tank?
My Orchid Dottyback died by getting its head stuck into a rock crevice, so I add three new fish. A Circus Goby, Azure Damselfish and a Filefish. The Damselfish died after a couple of months, for unknown reasons. All other fish are doing well, and coral is growing. I also added a Harlequin Starfish, that is doing well. Here are some pics taken today. I don't have a photo of the Circus Goby as it stays is the rock work upside down, and only darts out to grab food.

Tank looks great. I like that you have let the colonies grow out rather than jamming a ton of frags in there.

Looks beautiful! Thanks for the update! Very sorry to hear about your lost fish friends.
Looks great, the corals definitely expanded quite a bit!

Thank you

I think there are too many different coral as it is. I may see about trading in the both galaxea and chalice for branching cyphastrea. Also replace the ricordea with some GSP.

I have a branching cyphastrea and like it a lot. It is not a fast grower though. I think I’ve always had it in too much light.

I was trying different schedules with my ATS light for improved algae growth. I was running a lot of on/off cycles, and I think this ended up causing premature failure of my Tunze Refugium Light. At the end I was running it one or two hours on, then one or two hours off. The LEDs would no longer turn on. I had the light for a little over three years.

The good news is I replace it with a Tunze White Light. In two weeks at my first harvest, the algae growth was much better than with the refugium spectrum. I went back to a straight 8 hours on, 16 hours off schedule. Opposite of my light schedule.

The Reef Brite XHO bars started failing after only 3 years of service, so I replaced them with Quanta Pro Meso Blue bars.
