What's up guys. Figured I'd start a side thread for my daughter's Nano tank.

My daughter has been involved in the hobby with me since I've started, she's always had an interest in the fish and corals since she could see my first tank. After coming across a great deal on a full tank IM nuvo 10 I decided to surprise her with it, she was beyond thrilled.

Day 1:

The tank has a small rock structure built by me with the following:

Kessil a80 with gooseneck and spectral controller
Cobalt Neotherm heater
Sicee return pump
Autotopoff.com Nano top off kit
Black argonite sand
Media rack with filter floss and siporax
Chemi pure blue nano

And that's it! The plans for this tank was low maintenance 3 gallon weekly water changes while I'm doing water changes on my elos 120. My daughter is very involved when it comes to maintaining the tank, she's responsible for feeding the fish and cleaning the glass and helping make saltwater and doing water changes.

The tank has been up and running for about 5 months at this point. After a long rough cycle I began stocking coral and livestock.

Most of the corals are frags from my main tank or bargain bin corals from the lfs or friends. I'm looking forward to seeing this tank fill out and enjoying the hobby more with my family.

Tanks still rocking along, added about 8 new zoas tonight and did some re arranging.

Ran out of glue but plan on moving the candy cane out of the center and running a strip of zoas up the middle, will free up some space to mount the jawbreakers and wwc bounce on the rock work.

Haven't updated in awhile, tank is still going strong! Nothing else has changed since the last post, we do a large water change once a month, but other than that my daughter just keeps the glass clean and lets it ride!
