I always check it. I take a Cooler and cardboard box from a previous purchase and put it in my checked bag.

I don't see why you would not be able to transport. You aren't crossing any boarders and if it was bought in the US, there is no reason why you wouldn't be allowed as long as the liquids meet the requirements.

I used their insulated "thermos" style container coming back from RAP Orlando in my check bag. TSA totally destroyed 2 high $$ chalices opening it the wrong way.
