No, the new PRIME 16 HD does have a bit more power and a different spread of LEDs. @randyBRS can probably give you more insight into the exact differences in output but certainly don't gauge your original Prime with these PAR numbers or adjust the mounting/spacing around what we found.

It is probably very similar but not interchangeable.

There is an older BRS investigates with the old ai prime hd that gives par data for the ab+ spectrum.

I love my prime 16’s. Cheepish (compared) and great form factor. Fans pretty quiet and grow corals like crazy, app very easy to use. Very happy

Love this light! I have both the old and the new one. The new ones fan definitely runs longer and louder (even at lower output) but the spread and having the Bluetooth connect makes it noticeably better.
