Hey everyone just finished making a hitchhiker post and a cyano post and than fed my qt fish. Noticed something weird on my one chromis forehead. Here’s the best pics I can get.
this happened very fast.
only thing I can say is. Went off copper this week and started prazipro yesterday that’s it

Mine had one just the same, think it was from running into the rock. It went away over a week or so and he’s been doing fine since. I know there are some medications you can add to a display tank to help it not get infected but not sure of a good brand as I’ve never done it

As said, that is likely from an injury, but it is pretty large and looks like it might be infected. Is the fish still eating ok and breathing normally?

Hi jay. Yes the fish seems to be doing well breathing fine and eating as always. It just looks like a. Rhino. This is funny because the past year I had no luck with chromis due to uronema. This time started fresh. 4 of them have been in this qt system since November and went through copper. And all of a sudden. This showed up.
Any ways to treat? Copper just finished. Prazipro is currently in the tank and general cure on the way

I wouldn't dose the General Cure - the copper and prazi cover all the bases it would. You could treat with a broad spectrum, gram negative antibiotic like Maracyn 2 or Neoplex. The trouble is, as you might imagine, the lesion is really close to the brain. If it goes a bit deeper, then it will be lethal I'm afraid.
