Can he manage to get himself unstuck? He’s still alive. I turned off the pump. Should I try and pull him off or see if he can get himself off?

If your tank didn't get all cloudy you may have caught it in time. Just see if it will move on its own. I had on do the same thing. I took another powerhead and held it pointing at it until it decided to let go. It came back no issues.

Wohoo! He let go and I gently knocked him off because his one little tentacle was stuck.

good to see it is an active nem, especially after being caught in the pump once before. panty hose should hold you off until you receive the nem guard.

RIP! His foot got stuck and then he stopped moving because he couldn’t get himself unstuck so I just removed him. He lasted a whole week and three days. It’s not worth the risk for me….I don’t want my tank nuked. Now I will be getting the guard and then his replacement soon. He was moving because he was trying to find his little spot.

You might also look at why the nem is wandering - they do that anyway sometimes, but it can be searching for more flow, more light, etc.
He’s wandering because I only had him for a week and he was trying to find his spot! See my post above. Boohoo!
