Been waiting for this for years. Going start the savings fund for it today! ;-)
thx for the response
I appreciate everything your company has done this far. Kind of sad to see people with so much negativity and "suggestions" on how to make your product better. If you don't like the price, not having apex connectivity, changing the discs, etc then stick to your test kits. Incredible product, and I hope it works just as YOU have advertised. Can't wait!
I know I've said a couple things about you guys not locking down prices on both FB and here. I don't care what the price is going to be just wish you were able to say "it will be $xx" after initial funding until we sell enough to bring it down.
With that said, I see people backing out of funding it and I appreciate that because I was just able to jump on the December roll out if it gets funded.
Personally I don't see it making it and I hope you guys find another way to bring it to market. Unless you have an Ace up your sleeve 9 days and about $200,000 away is a long shot.
I may have missed it. Could the system be used to read every 30 minutes, 1 hour, 12 hours rather than every 15 minutes?
For what purpose? That doesn't necessarily make the disks last longer.
Hey guys, I am a sponsor and looking forward to the product. But one little word of advice - might want to put a saltwater fish instead of a freshwater Oscar on your pages since the first release is SW and that's the customer base you are looking for. Also, 2 out of the three pics on the mindstreamh2o front page are freshwater cichlids, and the cichlid tank pics have SW fake corals in it . Not good for SW street cred
I am so excited for the mindstream
So now that the kickstarter goal hasn't been met (unfortunately, as I was looking forward to getting this in December) what is the plan? Is there a way that those of us that backed this can be offered first dibs on the product if/when it does come to market? I'm excited about this product and would still like to get one of these when available.
I agree, still interested in the product if it becomes available
Also agree, as Setlock13 and bsstover, I am still interested in the product.
I was sorry to see that the Kickstarter didn't pan out. Raising $139,000 in a little over a month for a product that is not even available yet is nothing to sneeze at, however.
Don't be too discouraged!
Reefers are a notoriously skeptical bunch, and, as others have noted here, I think that once this product is available and some beta testers have shared their experience with it they will line up to buy it.
Agreed. I wish I still have the opportunity to beta test.
Meeee too. Willing to write up a detailed review to help out! December ship of course
Having a group of beta testers to build "cred" in the reefing market would still seem like a good model moving forward. I'm with you---I'd like to be one of the testers too!
I would love to be a beta tester
I'd jump at the chance to be a tester as I'm sure most of us would lol.
I was also sad to see (but expected) that this didn't make it. I think that the unproven results outside of the lab coupled with the cost was the issue.
What would be great is if Step Ahead Innovations would contact a few people and ask them to do a beta even a user paid beta test, but not at $1000.
I would love to volunteer like many here but I think if you gave those that were willing to back at $1000 a discounted system and had them Beta for a couple months and then their honest reviews were made known I believe you would have better results pushing this device.
You have locked down the disk cost and if you would lock down the final price of the unit itself so we knew what to expect in the final production run I'm sure you would have more people willing to step up.
My opinion based off of what I have read here and FB and from the result of the Kickstarter campaign would be to:
1) Issue/Sell a limited Beta. Allow those running to post not only to you but to these boards what they see.
2) Issue a limited pre-sale discounted amount to get to market. Only offered for X amount of time.
3) Full production run.
Again my opinion and I know opinions are like A** Holes, everyones got one.
Look forward to seeing this in the future.
Yup. Agree 100%.
Please don't be discouraged.
Let us know how we can help get this off the ground!
