whats your most aggressive fish you have?
This guy tamed my murderous pygmy angel and a blond naso that was nearly twice his size.

My Sailfin Tang is the boss of my tank, though I’m not sure I consider him aggressive.

-now I see this is in the predator forum ;Facepalm oh well, I’ll keep going ;)

My Dwarf Golden Moray snagged and ate a good size Blue Chromis. He is very good aggressive when I’m feeding the tank and readily chases down my skewer for his chunk.

None currently. I'm getting up in age and have downsized from multiple tanks to a custom 65g for my two clowns and 19 BTA's.

If I may reminisce and show some attached pictures.

In 2005 I had a friend who owned an LFS. He called and asked if I had an aggressive tank running. I had a 125 FOWLR for some fisty ones. Eel, a couple of triggers, yadda yadda.

So I get to LFS and h my friend was 'you gotta take this fish she has killed ~a dozen fishes the day he got her in. I was expecting to see some monster and it was an Atlantic Doctorfish about the size of a silver dollar. I laughed and took her home. Did QT then added to the 125g. She was the boss but didn't kill anything.

As she grew I kept buying larger tanks, a 225, and ultimately an 8' 300g. I really loved her. Anyway, she grew to 16 inches and a flick of the tail she was at the other side of the 8 foot and I knew she had outgrown it. She was very loving to me and got upset if my hand was in the 300g and I didn't pet her. She could have bitten the end of my finger off but would gently nibble on my arm or hand until I would pet her. I would come home and she was like a puppy waiting and always got excited.

It was breaking my heart knowing I was confining her to a 300g. I used to volunteer at http://www.ncaquariums.com/fort-fisher cleaning the inside of the larger tanks for sharks and such and called one of my contacts. They generally don't take fishes from folks but said they would take mine. Four years ago I transported her there and she resides in a 14,000DT with other Doctorfish. I go see her often as we go to Kure Beach frequently and she comes to the glass and looks at me every time. Crazy but true.

The pics are in the 300g I was running up to 3 years ago.

***The very last photo shown is at the aquarium from a couple of months ago coming to see me.

Thanks for the thread and allowing some great memories.

I don't have her any more, but for me it was a maroon clown. Meanest fish ive ever had, killed 3 fish and countless shrimp befor I caught her.

I hear you, Scott. Had a 12-year-old female GSM and her mate was with her for ~7 years. Drew blood from me every time I had to clean the tank.* ouch*

Pinkdot Goby. Named him Vinny the Mobster. He owned the entire floor of my 120 when I had it. Literally was super chill until you touched the sand and he would go full tang chase mode. I still have the ol mob boss but he moved to my buddies 280 and is probably home for good. My buddies daughter adopted him somewhat and as much as I love my ol brute he is getting some 4 year old loving that I cant match.

That's an awesome story. I feel like my Figure 8 Puffer would be like that. Crazy how they get excited and remember us. One time I went away for a month. He seen me pop my head around the corner. Went absolutely crazy to see me. I dred the day he passes. Had him 5 years now. My first ever fish.

My Gem tang is probably my most aggressive fish, surprisingly... he’s not tank boss due to a Desjardini Sailfin being a good 1-1.5 inches larger but he sure wasn’t scared when I added him...

Here was their first interaction. No blood or damage.
