What’s going on with my coral

This Bright pink spot showed up over two or three days I don’t know if it’s split or what it looks almost like coroline algae grew over one of the heads idk any answer will be helpful!!!

Was the coral always showing a bit of skeleton there? It takes time to grow coralline. Looks more like coralline than cyano. Does it blow off easily? If not, then probably coralline. I would leave it if that is the case. The coral polyps look pretty happy otherwise in that photo.

No there has not been a skeleton there before it started growing two or three days ago also if it is a skeleton can a new polyp grow there just curious!!

Just a thought. Is it hard or squishy? Possibly could be an encrusting sponge is it came on that quick. Just a thought, as I am on my phone with a broken screen, so pic isnt the best for me lol.

I understand the broken screen lol and no it’s spongy and it retracted when I touched it.

Sorry- had to be short and break away for work meeting. Looks to me like hydro zoa which would retract when touched
Best bet is to use a syringe and inject vinegar into it’s core and it should melt away
