Do another water change, check for dead things, slow reactors down if you have any. Imo 24 hrs is not an issue with salinity. Make sure mix water is same. Keep an eye on shrimp/snails also.

Nitrite do a water change, check for dead stuff, slow down reactors. Its cause your other bacteria is not eating it up. It was produced faster than they could eat it, something toxic to them, or something that stunted them.

please educate me…What is ATO?
Auto top off. This is a pump and water level switch and fresh water source to make up (top off) evaporated water.
Water evaporates from the tank, it is all fresh water containing no salt. This increases salinity unless it is replaced with more fresh water. An auto top off system watches the tanks water level. When it drops, a pump in a fresh water reservoir is triggered to fill the tank until the water level is back. This helps keep salinity stable.

My tank is only 65 gallons so w manually top it off maybe 2 to 3 times a week
