I’ve had this guy about a year and a half. Last few weeks something is coming out of two of its mouths I think. Not sure. It started small and keeps getting bigger. Any ideas?

I have not attempted to pull it out for fear of hurting it. I’ve seen it “poop” many times and that usually happens quickly. This has been happening over weeks. Thanks!

I didn’t try to blow it off I decided to let it play out a bit sense the coral doesn’t seem to be bothered. I wish I would have taken pictures In The beginning. It started really small and only in one of the mouths, and got bigger and looked to attached to the mouth just to the left (mouth on the right is where it started). I check on it daily (multiple times actually) so I’ll give it some time. Maybe someone has had a similar experience? It’s still getting a bit bigger I think. I’ll take a new pic in a bit.

I don’t know how bubble coral reproduce but could it be that? Wouldn’t mind having another.

they split or create smalls out of skeleton, kinda like a torch, this seem to be something that had fallen in and is having trouble getting out, the growth of the object may be poop sticking to and making it larger ,in pics looks like 3 mouths ,?

Total has many more then three mouths. It’s the size of a mini basketball. The pic has four mouths I think. The object in question started from the mouth in line with the others but at the top mouth with the main part of the object. There is another mouth row going down to the left. Where the other side of the object is coming out of. Here are some fresh pics. Looks to have detached from the beginning mouth. I will try to blow it off after I get my kids to bed.

Well I went for it. Part of it came out and my clowns ate it very quickly. Bubble is now mad and closed up so will see in a bit. Lights out happens soon so it will have to wait until tomorrow I think.

Interesting, I wonder what it could have been. I was thinking black sponge, of which I’ve had grow on the bases of my Euphyllias... but never on/near the mouth. Glad it’s gone and the coral is ok.

It was different. I’ll keep an eye on it to see if it happens again. But for now it’s gone. My two clown fish went right after it and ate it once it was realest, whatever it was.
