What’s this in torches mouth?

What’s this squiggly looking thing kn my torches mouth? I dipped it and it’s still there. It looks like it’s a part of the torches though.

It doesn’t look like brown poop though. It’s more purple and squiggly looking

I removed it to dip and shook it and nothing came off so that makes me thinks it’s not poop

If it is I’d say ok. It’s usually found in favia as a thing to literally digest it’s neighbors. That’s quoted from Dan from total gardens

Depends who you ask. Some say it’s from stress, some cause it’s hungry. Thinking the former as you dipped it and added it. Once acclimated it should be OK.

Well I only dipped it bc i saw that thinking it might be a parasite or something. But after the dip nothing came off and that thing was still intact. I googled the Mesenterial filaments pic and others pics look just like mine. So I hope it’s ok. I’m glad I didn’t try to pluck it off.
