What is your favorite coral in your tank or in the wild? Many of us have a specific type of coral that is their favorite, let us know & why. #608Reefers

Mine for now ;) would have to be euphyllia. I love the different colors & the way they move in the water. My hope is to have a small euphyllia garden at the bottom center of my tank. The photo is one of my new hammer frags :)

My favorite corals in my tank right now is my hammer coral garden.

They are by far the easiest corals I've grown. They have a beautiful sway, they fluoresce nicely looking beautiful all day long. They're also fun to feed mysis and are almost always the first corals people notice in my tank.

The green ones are branching, and the purple is a wall.

As a testament to their growing ability, the green ones started as quarter size single heads that I got around thanksgiving(maybe a little before?) Now they have probably half a dozen mouths each and are roughly softball size. The top one was on a flat plug, but the hammer grew so large, that it would tip over in the current. I had to attach it to a bigger rock.. that rock is also moving now!!!

I also love acro's, but none are thriving in my tank. They're alive, but still have yet to really color up as much as I would like. (sorry for the bad picture, the photo bleaches the color badly)

This is a millepora acro that I'm trying to grow. 1 month mark, which is the longest I've kept an acro alive!

I'm still struggling keeping my water balanced. This last week I had a huge jump in demand for alk (at least for me) and it dropped to 7.2 dKH where I usually try to keep it in the 8.5-9.0 range.

I have a special place in my heart for my first coral, my Tyree toadstool. I have it front and center in my tank and absolutely love how it looks there.
