......program.

I’m curious about which program people are running. Post a screenshot of your program.

All of the stock programs come on too early for me because I like to enjoy my tank in the evening up until about midnight.

I just rebuilt my tank so I’m suffering some algae issues right now. Once I’m through this, I’ll crank up channels 1&4 (the green-ish white and the red-ish white).

My lights are right above my water (10cm mounted on aluminum bars across the tank). Max any channel goes up to is 50%. This gives a reading of 450 par at the top corals in my aquarium.

Hi all,

On Android, I can pretty much replicate the curve on the first pages using this. Hopefully it helps someone else too. Note cell B2 to offset how you like. (Orphek also mentioned "strong clouds from 12:00 to 18:00" using this program. Don't forget to offset those entries too!)

Protip: If you happen to be using a Samsung, I found it easier to be in front of a laptop/desktop using Samsung Flow for all of the data entry. I'm sure some other phone remote app would work well too if one is on an iPhone or what not. YMMV depending on your ecosystem.

Edit: R2R really wants to convert a Google Sheets link into a preview. You can copy/paste the URL below to see the actual sheet vs. a preview.

Hi Xiaoxiy, in the program there is 7 point in the screen shot it show just the last 5 point the first point can not change it is 00:00 24:00 the beginning of the day.

here is all 4 Channels

ch 2 begin at 09:00 1% and end at 21:00 0%
IMG_9859.jpg

Ch1 begin also at 09:00 1% and end at 21:00 0%
IMG_9858.jpg

Ch3 begin at 08:00 1% and end at 22:00 0%
IMG_9860.jpg

ch 4 begin at 09:00 1% and end at 21:00 0%
IMG_9861.jpg
Hi, still don't get it.
As you said there are only 6 changable time points with a point 00:00 can not be changed. However, graphs in your screen shots requrires 7 managable time points.

For exampls, Ch4
09:00 1%
09:30 40%
11:30 70%
15:00 80%
18:30 70%
20:30 40%
21:00 0%

when there are only 6 adjustable time points, how one can draw the graphs as you did in screen shots?

You don’t need much point . Point 1 1%
point 2 15% 80 %
Point 3 0% it will not show nice curv on the graph but will do almost the same . As it will rise up slowly from 0 to 80 and also go down . Most important is to understand the Helius program you can find more information here : https://orphek.com/the-secret-of-coral-health-growth-color-atlantik-icon-helius-program/

For those of us that haven’t upgraded how does this program compare to “color and growth“ on the old app?

Color and growth are close to Helius just need to do some small improvements ,
You can see the red line go down sharp, should go as other channels .

But channel 3 (blue line) should remain the same as it is? My friend has the iCon updates and they look nice. possibly later down the road for me as mine are still relatively new.

First at quick set you find the best color at max so let say you like . Ch 1 60 , ch 2 80 , ch 3 80 , ch 4 30% . So you can built the program acording .
Ch 1 set Max at 60%
ch 2 at 80 % etc.

I am running the coral color and growth program with my Orpheks. V4G2. They are 17 inches off the water. I used an apogee510 today to test the numbers. All pumps were on as I wanted to get “true“ numbers. SPS tank in the works. I think the numbers are low, what do you guys think? Red is bottom, green is middle blue is top. Everything is doing fine, encrusting and some growth tips but wonder if they could be growing faster with more par…

Those numbers look really low. Maybe lower the light to 14-15" and recheck. I would try to get 400 at your top rocks, 300 in the middle and 100s-200 on the bottom.

Although I think SPS will do just fine with even 250-300 PAR. It's probably more consistency than intensity.

Is that running all at 100%? That is quite low although acceptable to imo. For acros I like 200-300 for coloration. Most other corals less.

Here is the color and growth program. Channel 1&2 are 100% channel 3 70% and channel 4 is 80%. Yeah I am mostly thinking about the color aspect of the sps.

Me too. How accurate is the apogee 510? It is pretty reliable isn’t it.
it is 17 inches above the tank and then 24 inches to the bottom. So 41 inches to the bottom and probably 34-36 inches to some of the green numbers

corey
That does seem pretty low…. I’m surprised.

Yeah I think it’s very solid. All the channels working ok? Although still ok numbers. Guess can play with the mounting height too I think blends ok until lower than 14” depending on tank depth of course.

I don’t know if it’s worth moving around. I would have to buy new bolts to put into the fixture. I mean how much more par will 2 inches give me? Sps seem to be growing. All channels appear to be working fine, it’s all new boards. Right before icon but just started using them this past summer.
maybe a different program?

Yeah I probably wouldn’t play with the height either. It’s not like those numbers are bad. Can always increase photoperiod to some extent or try 100% all channels for part of the day.

Numbers are low but Often I let fish and coral talk to me. If thriving well, you can leave it or increase 177 to at least 200
I run my Atlantiks on quick set and Par is 214 bottom- 273 - mid and 296 top at 8" off water.
I do want to elevate the lights and will soon be building a rack for them.

corals are encrusting out. Looking good. But I’m getting ready to acquire some frags from a tank and they currently get 370 par. But I also know that 240par from 36 inches away isn’t bad. i run the coral color and grow program. What is quick set, all 100%?

On your app- there are 3 circles- first is quicket, middle is program.
On quickset, you will see channel 1-2-3-4
I have channel one (white) on 12%
two at 77 percent (blue)
three at 65% (UV and others)
four at 10 percent which is red/green)

For new coral, you can use the acclimation setting for 2-2 days then resume to current lighting
