So long story short.

Established 90 gal mixed reef almost 2 year tank, 30 gal sump, filter sock to skimmer to refugium which chaeto grows like crazy to return. I dose mag cal and alk. Before you ask parameters are in check. Yes all of them. Lighting i run a maxspect razor 200 PAR checked and corals within limits (I did just purchase 2x ai hydra 32 and getting them Monday). Flow I have ecotech m2 return, gyre 330, and ai Nero 5. Have apex which runs it all. Have checked calibration etc on probes and are good. Salinity is 1.025. Tank is not overstocked by any means. Want to add more fish but want to get corals situated first.

Now onto my problem. I have trachys that are fat and healthy. Gonis that are happy but no growth. Blastos are fat but no growth. Acan that is again happy with no growth. Anything else I put in dies. I recently bought a Monti cap frag nice and healthy. I killed it within a week. I sent my water for an ICP test. Only recommendation they had is to do water changes with tropic Marin and to up my calcium slight from 425 to 450. With that being said why no growth. Why do corals die why why why? Any ideas or additional things to check would be appreciated.

Take out your sox. I think they remove stuff the corals eat.
Try something like phytogold or live phytoplankton. I dose either everyday and shut off the skimmer for 4 hours after dosing.
Can you describe the symptoms the corals exhibit when on decline, bleaching or Browning or other?

After acclimation to your tank water, no. But put in low light for a couple of weeks to adjust its chemistry to your water. It it still bleaches, then we know it's not light.

First thought is nutrients, you say your tank is not overstocked, is it possibly understocked? Seems like you have a fairly beefy filtration setup w the socks, skimmer and fuge. Possible your tank doesnt have enough nutrients, although you are detecting some with your tests so idk. I would say IME corals turning white has either been low nutrients or high light
