I was wondering what Angelfish you have kept and what corals have you kept it with?
Was it reef safe or not? What did it eat and what did it leave alone?
I am doing this so I have some experiences to learn from! :)
List away!

flame angel

kept with a variety of lps/sps, but none of the super meaty lps.

it picks at stuff, but doesn't seem to hurt anything. my leptastrea corals kinda went downhill after he rolled in and i did see him pick at those a bit, but can't blame him for sure.

there are some MACNA talks that venture into this subject i'd recommend

bill murray randomly knows a lot about butterflyfish

Limited experience here but I have a captive bred Asfur in a 1 year old 300g “mixed” reef. I have nothing special, small frags of SPS, Euphyllias, Zoa’s, he doesn’t touch a thing. Begs for food every time I walk by.

I've kept a:
Regal
Flame
Coral beauty
Rusty
Potters
Blue pigmy
Eibli
Bellus
Lamarck
Wattanabe

I can say with certainty that they were all reef safe with the exception of a Regal angel one time. I've hard 3 but have been in the hobby for about 15 years.

I’ve kept virtually all common and some less common angels in a reef tank.

softies and lps are almost always on the menu. Sps will get nipped but with a few exceptions of large angels that can actually bite a chunk off, won’t be bothered too much. Especially if you have a decent amount of corals. Always better to keep more than one angel and obviously the bigger the tank the better.

I've kept flames and coral beauties, and never had any incidences of them feeding on my assortments of softies, LPS and SPS...clams too. Also had a Bellus and a Watanabei, and, as I was told, they also turned out to be very reef safe.

Currently, I have an Asfur and a pair of flame angels. Over the years, almost all of the more common Centropyge angels. Also have done a Navarchus. All with relative success. My tanks have mostly been SPS and I havent really had an issue.
As mentioned above, Softies/Zoas can be on the menu, but it really boils down to the individual fish

Had a Flame that was a repeated LPS (Euphyllia) Coral Nipper and a tank bully to boot. Got rid of him. Currently have a Coral Beauty and he is a near model citizen. He would take the occasional exploratory nip at my Green Hammer but seems to not like the rare taste he gets of the polyps (seen him spit them out). As of late he seems to leave it alone. My current Coral Beauty:

I had a flame, who picked at gorgonians, such that they didn’t open and eventually started dying. Then the starry blenny ate the flesh like a kabob.

I had a yellow tail pigmy who ate zoanthids.
juvi emperor who also ate zoas

my venusta is currently excellent -knock on wood- it picks at acros keeping the polyps retracted during the day, however there is good PE at night, and excellent growth. I however don’t keep brains like acans, lobos, scholys, ect, and only a few softies, larger toadstools.

Have flame and potters currently. No issues at all.
Previously had passer angel. Gorgeous colors. Was a very good fish ....... That is ....... For about 2 weeks then decided to eat off my zoa colonies and about $500 of football size hammer coral!! Was evicted from tank quite quickly
In the past had a majestic which bothered nothing. Lost that due to major tank leak 2yrs ago

The only one I ever owned was the only one I ever truly wanted. Had a gorgeous adult male Potter's several years back. Kept him in a mixed (sps dominant) reef with no issues at all. He took live mysis, flake, nori, and pellets. He was well mannered and never touched coral. Unfortunately I woke to find that he had wedged himself between two rocks and perished. I didnt even get a nice picture of him before passing. They really are a species that photographing does no justice for.

I have a majestic and a regal since last spring.
They went heavy on some of my lps and my zoas (expected).
They do nip my sps but so far there is no real damage, just less pe.

I keep a 125 G mixed reef including a clam, I have an adult female flame, one inch venustus and lemon peel and a baby cherub, they all peck at corals occasionally taking bugs and food particles.
I have a chrysurus waiting to go in, also bought as a baby and now 1.5 inches.
