I'm surprised people spend that much on frozen food. I have two packs of frozen that have lasted me 6 months. Granted I have a small tank and only feed once a day and alternate flake.

I'd guess salt, test reagents, and food (not sure if the order is correct). Cant imagine I spend more than $50 a month on the tank but I've never tried to add it up.

Edit: OK, I was off by a wee bit. I added up 2018's Amazon (fish related) and BRS orders for a total of $1912.42 ($159.37/month). I'm not going to dig any deeper than that...

1 year old tank. It has to be salt, food and livestock. Im sure electricity is up there but all together everything totaled, prob less than $1.00 per gallon on tank stuff

Good answer

If spend enough on my wife first .
She let me use her food processor to make food for the fish tank.
Salt
Live stock from time to time.
Maybe 25 dollars a month.

Just a comment on the polls - It would be nice to have some kind of factor in the poll that takes into account the gallons of water people are managing. I.e. How many dollars do you spend per month per gallon of water in your tank and sump. Or else - a rationale for asking (because I can see it both ways) - ie. how much does the average person spend on reefing/month in general (ie. this poll) vs - what is the range people spend per gallon (i.e. someone with a 400 gallon tank will spend more than someone with a nano aquarium with 1 gallon).

Not a critique - I just want to understand what I'm answering in the poll:)....BTW I like these polls in general - have created a couple of my own. Just a sentence at the front - 'we're trying to get an idea of what the average user of the site spends per month on their hobby' - is a different poll than 'what do you spend per month on your tank'. Always interesting here:)
