What are these tufts in my tank?

I saw a couple of these today. They may have been there for who-knows-how-long. Right above the GHA.
They look like the "pink" pocillopora (right pic), don't you think?

Yup. Your coral is growing.. Great Job!!

So instead of growing branches, the pocillora polyps bailed out and started new colony?
Yeah, that would be great. Is that expected?

Looks like it grew from the base and branched. Either way, good for you!!

Great if you want lots of Pollicipora.

I'm not saying you have a problem coral (if you like it).,
Some people like Xenia, my friend had a whole tank of nothing but pulsing Xenia (looked amazing)

Give you an example of another Invasive Coral in that Article. (that I have)

I got one Green Paly years ago (when I was a beginner. So Happy it grew and multiplied)
20 years later, The Palys are a problem. Can't get rid of them. Got used to them.

This photo is my tank is a year ago. Big Paly Patch on Left. Another TWO Patches on Right. More at back.
They won't let me grow Zoa's since the are taller and smother the zoa's, and invade my Zoa patches. (I hate that)

Now (today) the Palys are all over the Tank Bottom and back.
The Green Palys look nice, but it's good to know that some corals that do well, do TOO WELL.
I wish I never got the first one. (sometimes). Yet other days I look and admire them.

What I learned is the Easy to Grow Corals are EASY since they are Hardy and out compete other corals.
