What are these white spots on my rock / in my sump?

These tiny, white spots have been popping up on my rock the past couple of weeks. Now I'm noticing them attached to the walls of my sump also. They're hard, almost like calcium deposits. I managed to get this picture with my phone through a microscope. Looks like a snail to me but I'm pretty sure this isn't how snails form.
