What are you willing to buy used? What is there no way you'd buy used?

What I have bought used:
tank, lights, return pump, wavemaker, skimmer, APEX unit
What i wouldn't buy used:
heater, probably wouldn't but chaeto... but if it was free...

Critical for life systems and hardware I'd not buy used. So controllers, tank, sump, probes, hearers, pumps, no. That said, anything in this list, if it came at the right time and right price, I'd not balk.

Our QT tank is second hand, at least.

If a used heater came along, I may use it but only with a new one in a box nearby.

But that was one of the things we did, we bought two of several things. We have two identical return pumps. Takes the pressure off of cleaning chor Also reduces worry if we have a failure.

Lighting we bought new, but for LED fixtures, I'd only buy a pair that lived together.
