Show us your favorite gobies/blennies and tell us why you think their awesome? Is it their dapper good looks? Their utility in the tank? Their larger-than-life personalities? Let's see 'em!

Banded sleeper goby. They aren't the prettiest fish, but they look really good, are easy to care for, and have interesting behavior.

This would have to be my Midas blenny. What's unique with him (other than his complete slacker attitude) is that he came to us yellow-orange and ended up purple-blue. I haven't been able to take a good picture of him because he literally spends 23/7 in his barnacle, but if you picture a barnacle cluster with a small blue head poking out - that's my fish.

That is a nice one. I haven't had one of those before.

Midas blennies are such cool little fish!!
I have a pair of ecsenius bimaculatus in my QT

They are cute and tiny (the male is no more than 1.25") and I can't wait to see how they do in the display.

Ha! Those little guys look like they have lots of personality!

Let me get back to you in a week. Got my first blenny (tailspot) arriving from Dr. Reef this week.

I also understand that firefish are gobies. Got my first, an exquisite, last week. Most I can say so far is that it seems my Exquisite Firefish is a diva (go figure). Loves TDO pellets but will only eat them one at a time spaced about 20 seconds apart, so I get to stand there dropping pellets for 5 minutes--seems happy with the special attention though! He/she has taken residence underneath the labrinth of codium in the corner.

For me it would have to be my Midas blenny also. Mine perches on the rocks and then makes a lap around the tank then back to his spot. Anytime I approach the tank to feed he is the first one to come to the top of the water to eat. I love the coloration of them and the fact they they can change their colors.

Love my Midas as well. In my opinion they are worth the cost, especially the African variety. There aren't many blennies that are friendly, reef safe AND hide in holes with their head sticking out. I had a Meiacanthus atrodorsalis (fork tail) that was also great, but he didn't poke his head out, just spent his entire time in the water column. Most of the non-combtooth blennies I would not pick again (i.e. Bicolor) because they are 50/50 on snacking on your coral.

I saw a fully grown starry blenny at my LFS once; very pretty fish.

For me it's going to be my Bicolor Blenny. Lenny the Blenny. Hes the only fish in my tank with an actual personality. He keeps my rocks clean and tries his hardest to not let any food hit the sand. Hes so awesome that even my clown is trying to mate with him ‍♀️

I love my Midas as well! He just came out of quarantine and into my new tank yesterday! He’s found a home at the top of a rock structure, just big enough to back into with his head sticking out

How did I manage to completely avoid this thread!?
Mine has GOT to be Discordipinna griessingeri, I don't own a blenny I love currently but I'd love to attempt a bimaculatus.

I'm currently drafting out an article on this genus actually.

Sharknose Goby. Adds flash of color and interesting movement as it moves over and though the rocks and corals

Here’s a newer photo, this is him taking care of his burrow and dealing with the sand. He’s got a nice little tunnel system in there (Also mentioning this in the article and changed it from being just Griessingeri to a bit of Filamentosa too).

Here is my Lawnmower Blennie. I call him Lennie, he likes to sit and pose on the rocks for me but if my wife goes to check him out he takes off and hides.
