I've been doing a lot of traveling so my build thread has been neglected. That got me wondering... with limited time, what type of photos are the most preferred so I can focus on those. I hope must of us agree that variety is a good thing, but if time limitations are a factor, what do you want to see the most?

For clarification, I'm am referring to "single coral" as a shot of the entire colony as opposed to the macro where you focus on a tiny part of a single coral. I consider a partial tank shot to be an area of the tank with multiple fish and/or coral.

Thanks for participating!

Sump layouts and how creative people are in arranging the equipment. Gave me great ideas on how to arrange things in my system.

A close second is aquascaping.

As for seeing fish and corals in a build thread.. nah.. not to interested.. however seeing large progression shots are interesting.

FTS so I can perhaps determine the success of the tank and if I can learn something from that person.

Equipment, mainly sump layout and what’s used to control nutrients.

I prefer full tank shots so you get an idea of how nice the system is, and I also like pictures of sumps and equipment. It’s interesting to see how others design things and maybe learn from it.

I also enjoy taking and looking at close up shots of fish and corals especially when it’s really creative photography

I love to see full tank shots over time to see how a particular aquascape fills out.

I also love to see the end result of a fellow reefers efforts.

I'm amazed at the request for pictures of equipment. I added that as an afterthought. I guess I need to take better pictures of my setup. I post a lot of pictures, but rarely do I photograph anything around my sump.
