What Brings out Best Colors Beside Lighting? I'm sure there are other factors not including lighting to bring out colors in coral . What might they be? Not looking 10k vs 20K or types of lighting.

Water changes,tempature,minerals,fish poop,PH,ALK,new tank, mature tank,ect...?

I have read on other forums by trusted posters that keeping potasium levels high will makes ome corals more blue and bring out the blue. I have not done it because really no blue corals in my tank, and no test it for it.

Low phosphates helps from corals like SPS browning out, proper parameters and feeding food that get eaten and used for energy in growth and I am sure that helps with color....

I think there is a misconception between what people think of nutrients and stuff like nitrates etc....Nutrients like vitamins, amino acids, major and minor elements along with some proteins are all needed for any coral to grow and to have a healthy system. Saying low nutrients will starve and kill corals, that is why when doing tanks like zeovit or other bacterial driven tanks they have to add amino acids or the SPS begin to bleach and loose color so they add nutrients back into the water for the coral to have something to sustain them.....When most people say nutrients they are talking phos, nitrates, ammonia etc.... To me there need to be a clarification that nutrients does not = nitrates, phos etc.....But nutrients= aminos, omega fatty acids, proteins, vitamins etc....

I had read that reduceing the day light cycle of the lights would help with color. The corals didn't use all their energy growing but made more intense color. I know, I know, but I tried it and it seems to help. It is easy to do and will save you some money too.

When I switched from Reef Crystals to Tropic Marine Pro
I could have sworn my colors got better.

But I may switch back since the Tropic Marine pro is so high priced now.
