Right now I have an open top cube with a MH pendant hanging above. I am wanting to do some actinics, but I am wondering what route I should go.

Any suggestions for doing this and what lights you suggest?

Tank is 2ft long.

I have a rimless tank with the lumenarc suspended over it and I used the icecap endcaps for the vhos. They do sit on the tank though. :(

No link sorry. I had the endcaps from my previous tank. Most drygoods stores have the icecap brand endcaps.

BTW. Is that your only tank now?

LOL yes!

I have the 38g Oceanic and the 20g long frag tank. I had to tear down the big tank when I moved. I plan on a 200+ here in a few months! :D

Could get one of those reflectors that have a spot for the halide and the vhos/t5. Can't remember what brand they were, but I it's the same one that surfn's using I believe...

The parallel PFO reflector. I plan on using this soon. You can place the actinics or supplements on the sides. Comes in 15", 24", and i think 36".

:)

Nice, but how well does that spread the light across a 24" tank. Looks like the bulb is on one side of the reflector. Seems like one side of the tank will be brighter than the other. I am probably wrong since I am sure they figured this out.

Have to ask Al(surfn) about that. You can probably do a simple drilling job to center the halide.

I say just use the icecap endcaps and rest them on the tank. :)

I'll take a pic for you tomorrow Rev.
