Think outside the box... A stand doesn't have to be _just_ a stand.

FullTank100620.jpg

Structurally, it's 1.5" square steel, welded up and powder coated gloss black. The top was custom painted with coral scenes, fish, etc. by my daughter, and covered with a quarter inch of bar top poly. The shelving units are non structural, just decorative. The sump and associated equipment are in a closet, behind that rear wall.

I think the color of the stand is important to go with the room colors and/or your tank. I have four black rimmed tanks with matching black stands. My room is on the darker side so it matches the room.

For me idk something about having a white stand does it for me. Cleaner look that just fits in

This is my current now but working on my next build in search of a good metal stand wrapping.
I am looking for some metal stand wrapping for my Miracles aquarium Stand, wish I had some suggestions!

Yes the color and placement of the stand matters. My stand color is rustic gray. It matches my floors and decor. The grey color has been easier to keep clean then black or white, if you have kids & dogs.

Beautiful. Can you provide some background on how this came together?
Hi Danco1985, Sure, here is my build thread. It needs to be updated with new photos, but most of the build itself is here:

My main system in my main room of the house, yes, it matters. It needed to blend in with the surrounding colors and style.
Now, my other tanks are in the fish room or basement and those cabinets are whatever I have that can hold the weight and do not look good at all. Just usable.

I voted "yes important", here's mine:

That is an amazingly clean setup; and goes so well with it's surroundings. Do you have it setup with your heater in-line with your return plumbing? How do you like the display flow with the closed-loop pump setup? It sure cleans up the tank appearance, not having side-mounted flow pumps.

Yes I think it does I don't see any difference between picking the colour of your stand to picking the colour of your couch
For mine it's gloss white to match the kitchen is next to just to match the flow of the room

Mine is blue. Bought it used off of Facebook marketplace. It was black but needed some love. Still had some of this color from when I painted the front door to the house. Pleased with how it came out.
