We all seem to have not much respect for gsp, a cheap beginner coral that just wants to take over the tank. I think it's the best deal in corals - beautiful and blows in the current with bright green colors. Glad to see it's listed as some people's favorites
I don’t understand why it’s so underrated, I love my GSP and I recently put a big chunk on my back wall to grow it as my backround

I sort of have two. I have a toxic-kush (sort of neon green/yellow) goniapora frag that was great when I added it, but evidently I didn't pick a good spot, and didn't realize it wasn't happy until it was no longer extending and was at death's door. I put it through several coral dips and found a good home for it, carefully removing any algae that tried to take it over until it was nursed back to health. When I came in one day and it had one polyp extended about 3/4" I swear it brought a tear to my eye. I feel like I saved it, and now it has a half dozen new good extensions and is swaying in the current and happy.

The "non-rescue" favorite is an organ pipe coral that I almost never see anywhere else. It was very tiny when I got it and it has tripled in size at least.

I've always liked GSP. I just make sure it is on a rock I can control, or a solitary one. But I like watching it spread and move in the current.

Miami Hurricane started as one of those corals when upon receiving it (online order), I was disappointed; but then grew to be one of my faves. I appreciate it even more when taking close-ups… can see some awesome aspects of it that you can’t see with the naked eye.

I love them all... but it is gratifying to see my sun corals responding so well to nightly target-feeding, since they're my first NPS corals. They're even starting to open a little before the lights go out. I might try feeding them earlier and earlier so that eventually they open during the day.

my favourite is actually a hitchhiker that came with the live rock a mushroom see pic below its not clever not expensive but well... you never forget your first ;) :p

After that its a toss up between my now soon to be three btas (see profile pic) because they're mobile, colourful, multiplying lunatics and the papaya clove frag because it's pretty and shouldn't have survived! (It arrived in a small ziplock bag with maybe 20ml water wrapped in cling film in an envelope!)

(sorry about the pic just caught it before lights out! hence why its blue and all small and sleepy )

This Frammer I picked up as a pinky sized frag in March of 2017 for $35. It grew like a weed for the first couple of years in my neglected tank, putting on a dozen heads, my avatar pic is from 2018. It brought me back into managing my tank better.

This pic is from the summer before some maintenance had it fall from it's perch. I have several frags of it throughout my tank now, maybe 25 heads total.

Being a collector of goni's, I'd have to say my amazeballs goni is a big favorite right now.

Changes all the time for me. Right now is a tenius that i got free from LFS as a mostly dead frag that had a small live spot that was completely brown. It turned into a mint green color with bluish tips and i love it. Far from my most valuable, but always love seeing something beautiful come from something mostly dead and ugly.

For me it's just rewarding to be able to meet the demands of all these coral species in your home aquarium and to watch them thrive and grow. But for me, i love hammers and frogspawns
these are when i first got them in Sept 4

This Black Galaxy Zoa was $150 for a single polyp. It melted a little when I got it but now it’s a nice 4 polyps :)

When I bought it, the frag was smaller than the surface of the plug. Lots of feeding and it had grown right around it. I fully intend to get another once my new setup is running.

i cant think

What coral is that? I want to say an open brain but I’m bad at my coral IDs.
