What do yall do with your used saltwater from waterchanges

i was thinking it seems like a waste to throw away used saltwater so does anyone use it for anything else ?

I was using it for snow/ice melt which worked well on my deck. I am able to grill out now !!
Otherwise I run hose off deck over leaf pile which the deer love the salt when eating the leaves for forage

I'll sometimes run it through a filter sock and use it near the end of a quarantine period in the quarantine tank as part of my acclimation.

Other than that, it goes down the drain.

I was thinking about just dropping all mine into a big container with a light over it and keep it topped off with freshwater and let the microfauna grow and see what happens

If I am running a quarantine setup it goes into that system, excellent way to harmonize parameters (as long as there are no problems in the main display), otherwise down the drain....

When I change water in my main tank 125 gallon I use the water for a 30 gallon cube with soft corals and LPS's. Both look great. Water from the 30 goes down the drain.

adding dirty water to a quarantine tank sounds counter intuitive..

can someone explain why it's beneficial??

Yup! The salt will eventually dehydrate the roots and kill any plants.

A good way to kill weeds is with salt so I learnt off my father to use saltwater on weeds, and have been doing it ever since.
