This will seem super basic to most folks here, but even though I set up my first FOWLR in 2001 and reef in 2008, I had never attempted SPS.
I got my first SPS frag about a month ago and put it in my 9 gallon nano that’s been up about a year. The next week I accidentally fragged the poor thing with the side of my hand. Broke the entire thing off. Ugh. Glued it to the spot next to the base and hoped for the best.
But, not only is it definitely growing (including over the spot I broke it off) but the color is even improving and a little bit of a yellow base is showing up around the edges too. I’m pretty tickled about it. My first one. First of many I think!

We need a "Yippee" or "Whoo-hoo" in the "like" buttons for something like this. I would be proud, indeed. ;Woot

Well... since my tank is brand new and these are the only living things in it right now, this is the coolest thing in my tank!

The world loves clowns. They show up well, are relatively easy to keep, and many have distinguishing personalities. Yours are quite handsome.

Thank you! They sure are troopers. They've been through a lot in the last couple of years with all the moves they've had to go through. I hope they end up being some of those 10-20 year fishies.

This chalice, in direct light no matter where in the tank its bright green, but in low light the polyp borders are bright orange. Discovered this by accident a little over a year ago.

Heres a pic i just took with both the same corals in the shot and the stark difference depending on the amount of light it receives. This one really blows my mind on how different it is depending on light.
