Built in universal power cords
Sliding shelves with cable management and adjustable heights IKEA stile:)
Small cabinets suffer of stability - a hard back panel could sort it.

Was thinking of doing a partial back panel, like the outer 1/3 on each side. Definitely will be doing a soft close hinge.

slide out bottom would be easier to accomplish on nano tanks since you are likely only holding dosing containers and other small gear.
Got the idea from this build.

I think the sump would be a good idea to help with maintenance, bending and reaching under the stand.
