Camera bag (sound deadening for Ozone generator) plastic fridge divider to hold my sea lettuce in sump. Drapes- my metal stand's cover along with magnets and wood knobs to sump access.
Mr Clean erasers cut in half between mag scrubber.
Pool leaf bag filled with carbon and placed on skimmer lid (ozone filter).

My screen lids are just window screen panels I fitted with acrylic netting.

CH1(front, switched): Ecotech Vectra S2 return pump
CH2(front, switched): Red Sea ReefLED90
CH3(front, switched): Red Sea ReefWave 25
CH4(front, switched): InkBird Dual Heater/Chiller Controller(with 150W Ti heater element on sub-channel 1, one exhaust fan on cabinet and one "pusher" fan for evaporative cooling in sump on sub-channel 2)
CH5(front, switched): Innovative Marine in-Sump reactor with Boyd Chemipure Elite
CH6(front, switched): Red Sea RSK-300 Skimmer
CH7(front, switched): Sump Nitelight
CH8(front, switched):
CH9(rear, always on): Ecotech Backup Battery
CH10(front, always on): used for heater for pre-mixed water and water changes

My favorite non-reefing product I use is the bottom tray of Costco-sized Ferrero Rocher package as a top down coral viewing device.

Also use a turkey baster and a Dave n Busters shot glass that glows under the lights for feeding frozen food.

I built my water cooled lights from copper plumbing pipe.

Algae scrubber also used water cooled copper pipe with a radiator.

I still use that brass temperature gauge from the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan Circa 1907.

Leak detector/shut off switch under tank is built from GFCI receptacles.

Dollar store, of course - Makeup brushes for cleaning off zoas when the turkey baster can't get the job done.

Steel smoothie straw to stick in siphon hose and scrape off, suck out algae, etc. from rocks. Perfect for aiptasia and bubble algae. Great for tight spaces and small things on the bottom. Highly recommended! Seriously, you will be glad you have one.

Carving set recommended by Than at Tidal Gardens. Also sold on Amazon.

Brute trash cans
PVC piping
Float switches
Chemicals of many sorts
Lab equipment such as pipettes

Do you use any lab items for your tank that only you can get as a chemist?
