What fish do you like you can’t keep in a reef tank?

A tusk will not bother corals, just your inverts.

Lunare wrasse

People keep quoting this. Why cant you keep them. It seems they are reef safe. Is it casue it eat inverters ?

Pretty positive I am going FOLWR, this is a great thread! @Reesj, I looked it up and yes the Lunare Wrasse eats inverts, I've been googling/wikipedia on all sorts of fish names in this thread, sharing in case you are interested. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_wrasse So pretty! Gets pretty big, though.

Black back butterflyfish. I saw it at a public aquarium at one point and it has been my favorite fish since, I eventually want to have a big enough tank so that its coral grazing wont be harmful. solely to keep that fish

Centropyge nox, Midnight angel.

Its jet black coloration contrasts so well with a brightly lit reef aquarium, but I have never had luck with one not devouring coral and nipping at tridacnids.
