What fish HAS to be in your tank no matter what?

Purple Tang is the reason I bought the tank size I have. When I saw one back in the late 80s it was my goal to get one. A long break in the hobby (30years) and I came back and got one.

dont have one personally. I have a love hate with clowns, love how they look, hate how they act and how it is such a basic thing in every tank.

A yellow Coris Wrasse, they are super colorful, constanty hunting the rockwork for critters and super fun to watch swim around doing silly stuff.

I agree! Mine just died. Can’t get a new one right now but want another one.

Clownfish for sure, that’s a family favorite. I also like to keep a tang and an orchid dottyback.

A molly, they are like small tangs with their algae loving diet. Maybe a dragonette. My current one is a pickier eater than previous ones.

I have to have one of the combtooth blennies because I love their personalities. Right now I have an Orange Spot named Marmalade. I also seem to have a royal gramma as they are hardy and colorful.

Leopard wrasse of any type. Have always found them to be great pest hunters.

For me it's clowns I find just a bunch of clownfish and a couple of bubble tips amazing to look at.
