I have a 50 Gallon Rubbermaid Stock tank (2' x 4').

The water is only about 8-9 " deep ang I'd like to
put something in there to nibble at the algae, etc.

I though about a small Yellow Tang figuring if it got
too big I could just put it in my 180 didplay tank.

Any suggestions?

The frag tank is Not covered so I want something
that does not have a tendency to jump.

Thank you

Maybe a small Lawnmower blenny. Small Yellow Tang or a small Convict or Tomini.

Thank you, None jumpers????

I actually have a Lawnmower blenny,
Yellow Tang and a Tomini in my display now.

The Lawnmower blenny may be one to think about.

Yea they are pretty much all non-jumpers. Though I have heard one time of a Gem Tang jumping out of an Elos tank. Lol.

Starry blenny, very similar to the LMB but they don't reject prepared foods as often as LMBs.

you might also want to consider a damsel or two to keep pod populations in check. you wont have to feed them and even if they starve, who cares? [i hate damsels]

Be careful with the Tomini. Mine is a prick and caused one of my Starry Blennies to commit suicide. I found this out be cause I can see him chasing my new Starry. I put egg crate over the openings.

My fish store has rubbermaid containers, and he puts wrasses in there to eat all the bad stuff. He had at least 100 pounds of rock and every piece was at least covered 50% in bubble algae. He put in a foxface and it was all gone in a week!
