The front of it is either dying or somethings on it? It was on its side for one day and I just put it back flat on the sand bed and saw this

Tissue recession or sting. Any nearby coral where Trachy is ?? Stingers on some coral can reach 3-4".
Assure moderate light and moderate flow and that no fish are picking on it especially butterflies.

Those look fine, some N and P, so it’s not starving.
Have any starfish?
How is everyone else doing?
Tissue does not recede that quick, any chance someone has been nibbling?

I do have a sand sifting star and I think hes what moved the trachy in the first place. To tell you the truth I dont think the whole tanks doing all that good. I've lost one green tipped bird of paradise and now I'm losing another. Turning white from the bottom up. Alk has been the same there hasnt been any swings because i use a doser and i check it every couple of days. I really dont know what it is. I have to dose nitrate to keep them around 10 or so. I have 10 fish and the tanks Bout 6 months old.

Hey! I know this post is quite a few months old now. I was just wondering how the Trachy is doing now? Did it recover at all? My trachy's are doing the same thing. Can't figure out what it is :(

Did you try dipping your Trachy. Mine had an issue a few months ago and I dipped it. A number of small brissle worms came off. Dipped the Trachy in some restore and has been much happier since.

I haven't yet, but thanks for the suggestion! I'll see what I can find

It's still pretty much the same it's puffy for a few hours a day then shrivels up. It's still alive though ‍♂️
