What has happened with this plate coral??

I woke up this morning and saw this stringy thing on my plate coral…..

anyone knows what happened to it??

Looks like it's trying to eat or digest something. Corals can send out parts of their digestive system.

The white skeleton is showing and I thought something was trying to eat the coral? Is it normal that the skeleton is showing when it sends out part of their digestive system?

is there another coral near enough to it to be sending out its digestive bits to attack that coral? Some corals do their warfare this way. I was on my phone originally and didn't see the skeleton showing.

It is Japanese leather coral and it is toward the back. See the picture below.
