What is happening here

My tank has been up and running for the last three and a half weeks this brown stuff started growing on my dry rocks and I used live sand and added more bacteria from a bottle now the rocks are starting to go back to White what is going on here and is this part of the cycle

Its part of your cycle, perfectly normal for a new tank. It'll go away after a while on its own :)

My ammonia is at 0 ppm nitrates are at 40 ppm nitrites are at 5 ppm is there an end in sight??? Lol just want to get some critters in there this is supposed to help me with my PTSD

Once you see 0 ammonia and 0 nitrites and some nitrates you should be completed.

Finally some progress ammonia is at 0 ppm, nitrites are at 1ppm, nitrates are at 20ppm confirmed with 2 tests. API stick test and API saltwater chemical test. Wohoooooo finally getting somewhere

Got some critters in the tank finally yea the clowns are piga the yellow Tang is a lil shy

Congrats on getting some critters in there. The tank will go through some phases for several months. Algae covering everything, then disappear, brown stuff back on the rocks and glass, then disappear, water all of a sudden a little cloudy, etc. etc. A good clean up crew and that yellow tang will help out with some of the uglies of a new tank. Have fun and enjoy!
