Hey Dr. Chemistry @Randy Holmes-Farley !

Do you know where can I find literature on what are safe ALK levels for fish and anemones?

PH: 8.33
ALK: 10.4
TEMP: 79
Salinity: 1.026-1.027
CA: 400
MG: 1400

I dose a little of CA to keep it at 1400.

If they livestock will be safe at higher levels I would like to have it settle instead of changing 1% water every day to keep it from going past 10.5

Thanks!

I'm not certain what the extremes of OK are, but certainly 7-11 dKH is fine for everything we keep (assuming adequate nutrients for corals). I expect higher alk is also OK since some manufacturers (e.g., Red Sea) recommend up to 12 dKH.
