Hi according to the book A pocket expert guide Marine Invertebrates by Ronald L. Shimek PhD what you picture as a spaghetti worm is actually a Cirratulid (hair worm).

Hi, all! Thank you @Crabs McJones for this thread! Very helpful to have pix for reference! With that said, I have something new that recently popped up and is growing like a weed...I think it might be feather dusters, but not sure and would like confirmation. They started in a cluster on the underside of a rock at the back and are now spreading. See pix below (and pardon my photo bombing friends, lol!). I know feather dusters are ok (if that's what it is), but are they going to take over?? TYIA!

What a great thread! Enjoying looking at everyone's various hitchhikers.

Is the guy hitchhiking on my Trochus snail's back a Coral Barnacle? Also see evidence of some kind of worm, but that appears to be old / leftover structure with nothing alive in it.

Anyone know what this is? Found a few around my tank. Most smaller/growing on rubble. Do they sting?

Ok. Found another "new" thing. Y'all weren't kidding when you said it's a whole different aquarium after the lights go out!

Is this a flatworm eating my pods, or something else? Been seeing a ton of them lately! Sorry for the not great pix! I need a better zoom!

Positive ID as a benign bristleworm? It seems that the presence of blue, or at least the lack of consistent overall red coloration, is one of the distinguishing factors between aggro 'worms and "friendly" 'worms? I've also seen in a couple places that the larger specimens are best removed from the tank to prevent them from getting too aggressive/exploring other food sources apart from detritus? This one is about 2" when it "relaxes", and has been expelling substrate since I caught it. I've read that some places list fireworms as being carnivorous, but this one seems to have ingested grains from the tank bottom. Feedback/positive ID would be appreciated.

Not to overwrite @MamaP 's earlier ID request, I can't make any claims to know them for certain, but my absolute guess based on never seeing one in my system (yet) would be pyramid snails. If that's the case, they can be potentially dangerous to other snails and clams.

Snail is dead, found these on the shell. It’s already out of the tank, just curious

Just sharing this closeup of an aiptasia I pulled from my tank today. Never seen the foot before and thought it was interesting up close.

I started noticing these in my tank which is only 3.5 months old. I was thinking pineapple sponge but could use some advice before I start trying to clean them out. They are primarily attached to my coral plugs.

I appreciate the help.

I really appreciate all the information and photos in this thread! I’ve done a search, but didn’t come up with an answer yet for an oddity I pulled out of my tank yesterday. I hope it wasn’t something beneficial! I don’t have a photo unfortunately, but it was a clear thing in my water column that looked like a tiny clear horseshoe crab. Complete with pointed end/tail. Does this sound familiar or like anything I should be concerned about? Thank you in advance for any information!!

Can anyone help with what this is suddenly walking across my frag shelf? Never seen it before.

Now I had noticed my daisy polyp not looking happy and moved it to this shelf - away from CUC. Seems happier but was this munching on it? First time I am seeing this in my tank!! I can't get a really good look - asterina starfish?
