How long does it take for them to get out of control? Right now it's 2 of them with 3/4- 1" tentacles maybe 2" fully extended. I don't have any corals for them to kill yet.

It won't take long for them to get out of control. I would remove them now.

Another terrifying looking creature in my new tank!! Ack! Looking at the pics in this thread I think it's just a bristle worm, can anyone please confirm? There seem to be a lot of them in my live rock.

Bristle worms. Good guys. Just don't touch with your bare hands.

Hard to tell but it could be a Phyllodocidae worm. They come in many colors including yellow. They are predatory to other small worms.

it looks like it could be a stomatella snail. If so they are good guys. Welcome to R2R!

can any one help me? I found a white/opaque worm about 2" long wrapped around my Xenia. it kinda resembles a bristle worm. it has some hair on it and a group of hairs at its head/end. the coral does not appear to be harmed at all. noticed it about a week ago, then again today. when I touch it with tweezers to try to remove it, it darts into the Xenia polyps or the rock. it is lightning fast. please help me if you can, im worried it might be a bad worm
