125 gallon if you have the room for it. It's large but manageable and your fish stocking isn't as restricted with smaller tanks. Plus more water volume it's easier to manage parameters swings.

I really like a 24” height and depth, which I find ideal for aquascaping and not over the top deep for lighting. I like at least 48” long for tangs, and 72” for bigger tangs like nasos. So for me, either 120g (4’ x 2’ x 2’) or 180g (6’ x 2’ x 2’).

I only have room for a 60g (2’ cube) :loudly-crying-face:

There is a couple of things that comes with size tank. And its cost for everything it needs
-Stand
-Lighting
-Sand
-Rock
-Filtration
-Fish
-Corals
-Maintenance

A very nice size tank is the 48x24x20 this is a tank that you'll feel good because its not to big or to small
the cost for lighting, filtration and everything mention before is not that high. And you wont find your self upgrading that fast to a bigger one.

36x24x20 is good as well but you'll find yourself wanting to upgrade in a year or two

72x30x24 this will get you a divorce once she finds out how much its costing :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing::rolling-on-the-floor-laughing::rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

In my opinion, a 72" tank is ideal. 125/150/180 depending on budget. Gives you lots of options for fish and later upgrades changes. The max size that is able to be maintained on a reasonable budget. Jumping to 220-300 is a big cost step in a lot of ways.

Tanks with more width. Examples
40 breeder instead of a 55
75 instead of a 90
120 instead of a 125

My 320 is only 6 feet long but it's 3 feet to the wall.

Water distorts when looking through it. Things look closer.
I would take a 125 due to it being 6ft.
