And here I am with my 25g
Nanos are great for low cost and easy maintenance!
I had a 40 gallon innovative marine fusion. I loved it, I had a lot of nice corals. Inexpensive since small colonies looked big in a small tank. Maintenance was a breeze, every week a 5 gallon water change. I also had an auto top off running for the system… honestly feel small tanks are easier to take care of and less stress. Not sure why everyone says “bigger tank the better.” I had a 150 gallon tank with no corals and 50 gallon bi-weekly water changes was annoying

6 feet long at least 24 inches deep. Height above 18 inches 24 inches preferably. Anything smaller will restrict your options. Anything larger you'll start running into having to extend cords, amount of dosages will become costly, water changes become bigger than 20 gallons a week etc etc. 6 feet will satisfy all your needs it's right in the middle of too small or too big.

Taking in consideration of all cost involved ie: water changes , salt , additives, equipment , maintenance etc. I’ve always gone with the largest i can afford but that opinion has changed throughout the years as now it comes down to how much work I would want to do :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:. Think about and consider all the coral and fish you plan to have and pick a size that can facilitate a size tank to house them comfortably for their survival while given them plenty of room. Don’t over crowd them in a tank too small to achieve this . PS enjoy that 10,000 gallon tank lol !!

My vote would be a 125g. A standard 75g and a 60 cube are also great options. For a budget tank, a 40g breeder is a solid entry that could be reused in many other ways later (e.g., frag tank, sump, etc.).

There is no clear answer to this question. But it depends on your budget, experience, free time, etc.

I have a 6 foot 150 but I wouldn't have minded it being 8-10 foot if I had the wall space.

6 foot seems short for my china wrasse...

I like the look of the 300 tall. An 8 foot tank looks like enough room for everyone and the 240 looks "squatty". 450 is even better but takes up a lot of space.

So hard to answer this question. I’ve had nanos and 200g with other tanks plumb in. It always depended on my available time and expendable funds for it.
If I had to answer this question I would choose a standard 120g 48x24x24. It gives you that big tank feel but cheaper to light, flow, maintain etc. Once you go to a 6 foot tank (or more) the lighting, flow, and maintenance becomes more expensive and the tank generally takes up more free time.
