How did he kill HT, Queen and Blueface?
The first victim was the H. bass. I found it alive but totally definned, The next day, the queen was found in the same state. The next day I saw the attack. The hippo had that poor tusk pinned on the gravel in the corner of the tank. The tusk's left pectoral was in the hippo's mouth with the hippo ripping away at it. At first, I thought that a Niger trigger was the culprit until I saw the hippo. I pulled out the tusk then the hippo went after the blue face. The angel was de-finned like a piranha attacked it. The attack was so fast that I was stunned and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Took me a while to catch the hippo but it went to the LFS.

this Is an edit to my previous post on this thread.

the pink trigger. He chomped on two clowns. One is dead, and the other is still alive (for some remarkable reason). He ate mostly all of my shrimp. I did not know that triggers eat shrimp until somebody told me. Here are some pics of the two clowns.

That Picasso really took some damage… dang.

Mine is hands down a Neon Velvet Damselfish. That thing was a tank and survived two ammonia spikes just to die in cold water. I’d love another but I wouldn’t have one without an aggressive gang to beat him.
Unfortunately don’t have photos of that guy so I’ll put a photo of the second meanest fish I’ve owned (and still do). Not seen much aggression other than a bit of chasing between him and my radiant. But all 5 of the wrasse go at eachother and nobody gets harmed. But they are known to go on rampages and killing sprees so I don’t want to jinx it haha.

Radiant wrasse is supposed to be "peaceful" ... what are the other wrasses? And who do they include in their killing spree?

I had big wrasses and though I loved their colors my smaller foshes used to be scared of them and their swimming (aggressive and fast) .. sold them off to largwr FOWLRs. ... i was thinking of adding "Melanerous, Christmas and Radiant" ... but I curious to learn more about their potential to go on killing spree.

Purple tang for me. Not so much mean to me, though it would flick at my hand.

Just relentless harassment of every other fish in the tank. Purple was last in, and was ok at 2-3” but by the time it reached 4” the whole tank (WB170) was terrorized.

Removed after a multi day saga of sectioning the tank out and multiple nets. Had a favorite wrasse jump and ultimately die so I’m still bitter about it.

Six bar wrasse. He's only mean to our paddlefin wrasse pair for some reason, that's the extent of general everyday mean'ness in our DT.

Blue velvet damsel . At over 5” it was the most destructive , aggressive a hole I’ve ever seen , it was donated to a lfs where they added it to their shark tank where it would live the rest of its days
next was a tomato clown every time you went in the tank to feed it would attack and draw blood every time .

Curious if anyone here has ever owned a Steene's Dottyback. I read once in a book that they were "pound for pound, one of the meanest fish in the ocean" and to "hide the kids, hide the dog". Which is hilarious.

They’re beautiful! “Hide the kids, hide the dog” makes me laugh.

Towards other fish? Orchid dottyback and sixline wrasse. Never again will I have either of them

Towards me? Clownfish. Once again, they don't ever go into my systems.

Probably this guy. He kicked several holes in my drywall,
mascot-of-finding-nemo-clownfish-mascot-costume-customization-adult-clothing-cartoon-reality-t...jpg
drank o.j. from the carton and refused to use the litterbox. Luckily, he eventually went out for a pack of cigarettes and never came back. If you see this fish, don't believe anything he says. He's not from Michigan, He's not friends with your cousin, and if you let him crash on your couch....it will not be "just a couple of days" LOCK YOUR DOORS.
What a CLOWN !!!

Mine was a baby black bullhead. My father bought me some new fish, and it darted out and ate them all. Never got to see them

This could also be a question of the day, but I’m curious about the meanest or otherwise most destructive fish you’ve owned? For me it would have to be a yellow belly damsel. He made it his mission to hollow out a cave wherever it suited him, and would make a point of turning my tank into a veritable snow globe every chance he got. He would even wait for me to fill in the holes, then cruise on over and dig twice the previous hole size just to spite me.

The meanest fish I’ve seen was a trigger (Nigerian maybe?) at my LFS. It bit anyone who stuck their hand in the tank to feed or clean, drawing blood on more than one occasion. It would even attack the glass when people walked by the tank. It had to be kept separately as it also killed any fish put with it.

I'm a relative newbie but in my case it's my Bangaii male and it's not even close. Chases everyone away from his hover spot. He's developed a super long dorsal fin and eats like a champ but he has no chill.

As far as destructive potential goes I’d have to give it to the pacu or pacu I used to have, but they get a pass because the killing was for food (predation and aggression are not the same). Though the piranha got into a lip lock with a cichlid…didn’t end well, and also gg in a fight with my leporinus (more on him later) and took his eye.

I’m sure you all know about Luxo the evil clownfish. Killed her mate, a firefish, a royal gramma, and almost got my aurora goby.

I’ll put a shoutout to my Jack Dempsey, but he hasn’t done any real damage (yet).
If anyone here has ever had mbuna, those things are EVIL.
And lastly, the banded leporinus, given the name “Deadeye” due to the fight with the piranha.

Despite being a psycho, he’s the best fish I’ve ever kept. Highly intelligent (not very interactive but you can tell there is something going on in his head) and very beautiful.
He has shredded plenty of fish, but never eats his victims (except a crayfish). He preys on the weak ones or simply anything that he deems a challenge to his rule, which is anything near his size. He has been well behaved with my parrot and dempsey, probably because they can fight back. Lots of fish have been moved to accommodate for his aggression.

Lepinorus are beautiful but certainly get aggressive as lone specimens. What a pretty fish! If my 240 wasn't Asian biotope themed I'd probably try to accommodate one simply because the pattern is stellar!

Check out acrossocheilus longipinnis
They are a Chinese barb and look just like leporinus.
