Miniatus groupers, but the vibrancy of the colors can vary a lot. Also, clown triggers and blue spotted jawfish.

How large do they get ?

besides turbo snails and conch that’s all I have for inverts
I had a Red Coris that I had from a tiny juvi to adult. Another warning....he will flip anything not glued down, including coral colonies, rock scape etc. looking for food items or whatever. I used to get up in the morning to large class knocked over, coral colonies turned upside down etc. Daily occurrence. I loved him, my favorite Wrasse, but for that reason I won't own another one.

Too many pretty fish to list.

It is really hard to take good picture of male Flame Angel with nuptial coloration because it is near dark then they spawn, to the point of barely see the sperm and eggs. Thought after the release of sperms and eggs they dive into the rock to sleep. I have to have ASA really high to compensate for low light condition.

Why?!

You probably wouldn't like my other hobby (scuba diving) then. :)
We love to scuba.
I just don’t thing my hand have any business in my tank.
when I try to get clown fish to go into an un-natural anemones, I often put my hand into the tank and scare my clown fish. This almost never fail getting my clown fish to go into my anemone. I just try my best not to put hand into the tank

I've wondered why tilefish aren't more common in the hobby? I see them for sale very rarely and oftentimes it seems they were special orders for customers (aka not for sale to walk-ins).

The price tag on this one certainly caught my eye.

Honestly, it’s most likely due to not many people knowing them. They’re also scarcely collected in the wild as they don’t naturally hang out in large groups and usually you only find them in pairs/trios or solo.
The Oreni is a nice fish however IMHO, they don’t look as nice in person. More so dulled out (this is a fish that comes from deeper waters). The biggest reason for that price tag is it’s a newer species of tilefish that comes from 100-200 feet below the surface of the water. It’s also only known from Massawa to my knowledge.

Im pretty colorblind so perhaps that impacts my personal favorite(that i would not have to sell my firstborn to afford). A fish that is always a staple in my tank is Halichoeres marginitus. Ive only had one color up like in this photo, but the one I currently have in my tank is just starting to show some excellent color!

Male M. Meleagris. Regular color and nuptial coloration. The green coloration on the body is iridescence and much more in person during nuptial display. Photo do not capture this color well

Are you planning to put one in a reef?
I’m just worried they might accidentally scrape some corals (mostly SPS) while scraping for algae.
I have two tanks that have fast growing softies like paly, GSP, leather etc. ok if they eat it, damage it a little. But not
Planning it in one of my reefs.
