I saw a creole anthia at petco and didnt know what it was and googled real quick, they get huge! I think it was 45 bucksEither ventralis Anthias or creole Anthias.
We have a mandarin fish for years in our tank. I grew out brine shrimp. Put them constantly in the tank, and before you knew it, they were breeding in the tank. Now we have a very healthy fat mandarin fish. The brine eats fish food or phytoplankton feed to the tank, so they seem nutritious to me.I would love to have a mandarin. Although my tank is well established, it's only a 56g display with a 30g sump, which is not really enough if I can't get the Mandy to eat prepared food.
I had a mandarin in an established 55g and she had an all you can eat buffet. The caveat to that is I did let my tank run fallow for 2 months due to ich. During that time, the pods all went nuts and exploded in growth to the point they were crawling all over the sand during the day time. It looked like the stuff of nightmares lolI would love to have a mandarin. Although my tank is well established, it's only a 56g display with a 30g sump, which is not really enough if I can't get the Mandy to eat prepared food.
