Im following 5280. Im having similar issues. On most of my smooth surfaces. But the stringy ones are on my rocks. I introduced a birds nest with gha a few weeks ago and issues since...stupid move i know. Im about to put it on the main and if i get anything good i will relay it. Salty is always on top of these and is one of our best hopes of solution.

I do not dose anything but reefroids(very and i mean very little) the day before a WC, no changes and all the snails are good
Buy good, what does that mean. Snails eat different stuff so like when a tank gets cycled I put in a basic variety and kinda keep an eye out for new things popping up. And depending on what else happens double down on what eats it.
Manual removal so it doesn't reproduce to fast and then fingers crossed the snails keep up and the stuff doesn't hang around. It usually the the cheapest option.
A light out for a day, bandaid stuff does help bit in the right combo.

Hey thanks. Kind of you.

Yea, you better get a toothbrush.
Lol.

The gha is gonna need some turbos an maybe crabs if you don't have to many.

Most folks hate getting turbos I've noticed lately. Man they work. I buy mine small and get a bunch.

And don't feel too bad , I got some macros that even survived a qt but came with pink fuzzy Gha I couldn't even see. And I only enter to two lfs and both had NO turbos.
I live 200 miles from where they come from in the sea of Cortez.

Here's a CUC crew list and what they eat.

It's really only when it hangs out a long time do I consider the nuclear options.

Change prefilters either when TDS climbs or pressure drops. Clogged prefilters will drop the pressure into the membrane and will reduce its efficiency, leading to higher TDS out of the membrane.

So it did end up being Dino after a good bloom of it, I had low nutrients at the time phos 0.01 nitrate 0.05. So I just set my skimmer to run 12 hours a day and took out my gfo. Now I am at phos 0.03-0.04 nitrate 3-5 ppm and all the algae is gone after a week or 2

I don't think it was a gnarly Dino then.
Most folks battle with increasing nutrints for months to get that result.
