What is this green stuff on my new Zoa Frag and what should I do about it.

Looks like hair algae. Could remove the rock and brush with a soft bristle brush to remove. There are also threads on here that'll explain how to do a peroxide dip at the proper ratio to kill off the hair algae.

Agreed.
But them zoas don't look happy. Hit them with the toothbrush and see if they get happy.
A few times I've used peroxide on unhappy zoas they didn't recover.

Btw. I prefer a ten to one ratio. Water to peroxide.

Peroxide did the job. I read how to do a dip and then I used the toothbrush. I took about 3 days for most of the algae to die off.

Old thread but I am having same issue. can I use seachem dip ?
also I am not sure if I want to use a brush as I might hurt my zoas as they are very small and close together.
