What is this on my Clownfish?

Hi everyone. Can you identify what this is on my male clownfish. He stopped eating regularly during pre-spawn so I paid close attention to him especially. When I saw him stressing I isolated him and did my regular water change. He showed splotches of a thick slime coat that went away five minutes in isolation tank. I noticed some scales missing in those areas under white light and magnification.

My tank is a 30 gal tall and has been running for 19 months. I added fish fish and corals gradually in the last 7 months. When I bought the Clowns they were almost the same size and they went back and forth for a couple weeks one eating while the other hovered. In no time the female got noticeably larger. The clowns started clearing nesting spots so I added clay pots. The male is swimming fine now in isolation, but he still has a sunken stomach and is not eating.

Specific gravity - 1.024
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 10
I was running Purit in a hob filter on the main tank but stopped because of possible tumbling of carbon.
