Hi,
I am new to this hobby. This is my first tank. It's a 30 gallon with live sand and dry reef rock. It's been running for a week and I just noticed these little things popping up 2 days ago. What is it?

My initial reaction was that it was a shrimp molt/shed but the antennae looking bits don't appear to connect to a shrimp carapace.

I am still cycling nothing is in there. I will try to get a higher quality picture up. It just sprouted all around the tank suddenly. That one is the biggest the other ones are around 1/2 an inch long

It is hard to see the base, but probably either vermitid snails or spaghetti worms. Does it move around the tank or stay in one spot?

It hasn't moved at all. Just waves around. I don't understand though, this was dry rock the only thing live in this tank is the sand I have nothing in there. It has been up for one week

You said you used live sand? They were probably in the sand if the rock was dry.
