Hey guys, I'm new to R2R but I wanted to ask a quick question about what this weird balck sea graas thats growing in a few places in my tank. Here's a picture of it. I would like to know what it is and how to get rid of it. Mind you, I run a phosban 150 with Rowa GFO. My parameters are good and I didnt have this issue before. I also just upgraded from a 28g nano cube to a 40g cube by aquatop. Thanks for helping a young reefer out!

Looks like aptasia... Do you have another photo without the snail? or is it attached to the snail?

If you can take out the rock and scrape that thing off... or maybe to be on the safe side remove it altogether.

Definitely not aptasia. Its like a sea grass or something. Heres another pic of a different one growing in my tank.

BRYOPSIS!!! THANK YOU!
You’re welcome! Unfortunately I know of it the hard way. I eventually had to treat my system with flucanozole to get rid of it. Don’t rush to do that yet, but if it does get out of control keep it in mind. You’re welcome to Tag or message Me if you would like advice, but I would read up on it first. Good luck!
