Anyone can confirm what this is?

White color, 5mm in size, only seen 1 in my tank. Has a hard shell, move very slowly.

I should add that I have two adult Trochus snails in my tank. Don't think this is baby trochus but thought I should mention here

Thanks a lot.

On the image, it has a little bit algae on its shell.

Thanks for the reply. Can a star fish have shell?

I think I will pull it out just to be safe

I just removed it - almost certain it is a snail type thing. It has a full shell, and a small opening at the bottom just like trochus snail.

I've put it in a small cup of saltwater in case anyone can help further ID it

Starfish do not grow shells, and the secondary “ridge” on the creature’s shell/opening make me believe it is a snail as well. Personally, it looks like a miniature Ninja star astraea, though it is hard to tell from the first picture and I am not well acquainted with juvenile snails.
